This dive site, known as Container Bay, is located around a rocky reef. The area’s namesake comes from an old shipping container that was washed ashore decades ago and has since rusted away significantly. The maximum depth reaches approximately 14 meters. This reef offers varied terrain including sandy patches with occasional rocky outcrops, ridges, and gullies—particularly deep at the southern point. Kelp forests and clumps of seaweed are abundant along the rocks, providing habitat for a range of marine life. Historically, this site was popular for diving Kreef and Perlemoen, though populations have diminished. Much of the more colorful reef inhabitants can be found tucked away in crevices and under overhangs. While not ideal for photography, macro equipment is likely to yield rewarding results. Visibility may vary.
