Kudhu Falhagado is a popular dive site located in Fuvahmulah, known for its diverse marine life and spectacular shark sightings. The site features a gentle slope leading to deeper waters, with a varied seabed composition including coral formations, rocky outcrops, and sandy areas – creating a rich habitat for numerous species. Divers frequently encounter tiger sharks, alongside thresher sharks, hammerhead sharks, and oceanic blacktip sharks. Manta rays are occasionally spotted, and there's even the possibility of encountering whale sharks. The reef is teeming with smaller fish like snappers, groupers, and schools of trevallies. Visibility is generally good, particularly during the calmer months from November through May, allowing for excellent views of these large marine animals. It’s a truly rewarding experience for experienced divers.
