This dive site, Flynn Reef, offers a diverse underwater experience. The reef features several well-known dive spots such as Gordon’s Mooring and Tracy’s Bommie, providing opportunities for exploring bommies, walls, overhangs, and crevices. Night diving is also possible. The Coral Gardens mooring sits at 8 meters on a sandy bottom, extending back from the wall are superb coral gardens characterized by stands of staghorn coral alongside terraces of table corals, boulder coral heads, and plates, interspersed with swaying soft corals. A terracing slope descends to depths of 10 to 20 meters, also richly covered in coral and giant clams. Deeper areas showcase fan corals and thickets of staghorn coral on the seabed. The site is home to a variety of marine life including clownfish, batfish, trout, cod, fusiliers, butterflyfish, angelfish, whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, octopus, moray eels, barracuda, lionfish, nudibranchs, and various pelagic species. Good pelagic action is frequently observed.
