This dive site, known as Three Rocks & Pottery, is an excellent destination for novice divers, located just minutes from Mae Haad pier on Koh Tao. It features visible boulders and gentle swim-throughs at '3 Rocks,' while the 'Pottery' section offers diverse rock formations, making navigation straightforward and enjoyable. The site's shallow nature and varied topography provide an engaging environment for learning and exploration.
Divers can expect to encounter a vibrant array of marine life including Mushroom corals, Giant barrel sponges, and Giant clams. The waters are home to numerous fish species such as Butterfly Fish, Angel Fish, long fin bannerfish, Anemone fish, Red breasted wrasse, and Parrot fish. Encounters with Blue Spotted stingrays and fascinating wart slugs are also possible, adding to the site's biodiversity.
The best time to visit Three Rocks for optimal conditions is generally during the dry season from December to April when visibility is typically at its best. Its shallow average depth of 4 meters makes it perfect for extended bottom times and ideal for photography.
