This dive site, Bakalang Jetty, is located on the northern coast of Pantar island, near the village of Bakalang. It's a fascinating muck diving location characterized by a steep sandy slope and two jetties—an old and a new one. The area offers abundant macro life, including waspfish, ghost pipefish, shrimp, crabs, nudibranchs, ribbon eels, and even boxfish. Notably, the underwater pillars of the older jetty are adorned with coral and sponge growth. The dive is generally shallow, providing good visibility and typically mild currents. It's an excellent opportunity to explore these unique marine ecosystems.
