This dive site, known as the Coral Gardens mooring, offers a captivating underwater experience. The location sits at 8 meters below the surface on a sandy seabed. Immediately in front of the mooring is a wall extending from 5 to the surface, forming the edge of a vibrant reef. Behind this wall lies an extensive coral garden, showcasing a stunning array of formations: stands of staghorn coral nestled amongst terraces of table corals, boulder coral heads and plates, all interwoven with swaying soft corals. Divers are kindly asked to practice no-touch diving here to preserve these delicate ecosystems. A sloping seabed descends from the coral plateau at depths ranging from 10 to 20 meters, continuing to be richly covered in coral growth and giant clams. Deeper explorations reveal fan corals and even denser staghorn thickets on the sand. The site is teeming with marine life; clownfish, batfish, trout, cod, fusiliers, butterflyfish, angelfish, basslets, and whitetip reef sharks are common visitors. Lucky divers may encounter grey reef sharks, octopus, moray eels, barracuda, lionfish, and nudibranchs. Pelagic activity is frequently observed, with trevally and mackerel adding to the diversity of fish species seen in deeper waters.
