This dive site, known as “Digger“ (Sueño Azul), is located in front of the complex “Sueño Azul“ in Callao Salvaje, Tenerife. Access is convenient via a short walk down a hill to a small sandy beach. Underwater, a distinctive "road" guides divers directly to the main attraction: the wreck of a digger. This unique sunken machinery provides an interesting focal point and habitat for marine life, making navigation straightforward.
The site is home to a variety of marine animals, particularly noted for its crustacean population, including crabs and lobsters. Divers can also frequently encounter colorful parrotfish and various types of anemones around the wreck. Exploring further along the adjacent wall often reveals trumpet fish and a good selection of nudibranchs, appealing to macro enthusiasts.
While Tenerife offers good diving year-round, the warmer months might provide more comfortable surface conditions. This site is particularly well-suited for beginners due to its shallow average depth of 9 meters. Freedivers will also find the 19-meter maximum depth and accessible wreck appealing. Divers are advised to bring a torch to explore crevices for hidden marine life.
