Sombrero Island

This dive site features a stunning, expansive wall characterized by abundant soft corals and large gorgonians. The reef is open to currents which can present a challenge for less experienced divers. However, the area offers a rich display of marine life, including various fish species and other wildlife. Classic macro formations, such as coral-covered slopes and sponge gardens, are prevalent throughout the site. Overall, the reef remains in excellent condition with a healthy population of fish, shrimp, and mollusks. The slope gradually becomes gentle near the shallow areas before transitioning to rocks adjacent to the beach.
