This dive site, known as Kontiki, offers a fantastic diving experience. It’s located in an area protected from strong currents, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced divers alike. The house reef is teeming with life, including a large shoal of sardines, hundreds of colorful reef fish, corals in excellent condition, and various invertebrates like turtles, barracudas, lionfish, snake eels, octopus, and squid. Larger visitors such as whalesharks and sunfish are occasionally spotted. Dives during the day are exceptional, while night dives provide a unique opportunity to observe crabs, shrimp, shellfish, more octopus, and an abundance of other nocturnal creatures. The surrounding area is roped off to protect the marine environment from boats and fishing.
The reef features a substantial wall offering great diving both north and south. Visibility is excellent, and the overall underwater landscape is remarkably healthy. The site consistently provides memorable experiences for divers of all levels.
