This dive site, Yucab, is a popular second choice for many Cozumel diving operators. Located in shallower waters, it offers a vibrant and lively experience with abundant hard coral species like various colorful varieties and massive barrel sponges. The reef benefits from consistent, modest currents that flow south to north throughout the year, promoting healthy coral growth. Divers can expect encounters with fascinating marine life including scorpion fish, an impressive number of lobsters (often seen sleeping), swimming or resting nurse sharks and turtles (both Green and Hawksbill). A unique feature is the endemic Splendid Toadfish. The northern section of the site features sand canals that lead divers to Tormentos.
