This dive site, known as Kandooma Thila or Cocoa Thila, is a popular destination in South Male’ Atoll. It offers stunning scenery and abundant marine life. The west and north sides of the thila are particularly noteworthy, with an underwater peak reaching 16 meters. This area is frequently visited by schools of Bluefin Trevallies, eagle rays, and dogtooth tunas – often accompanied by loose groups of gray reef sharks (a significant number can be seen during strong currents). Divers can witness a fascinating cleaning station where grey reef sharks receive attention from smaller wrasses in a vertical position. Currents at this site can be very strong, making it suitable only for experienced divers.
