This dive site, Bathala Thila, is a small thila located just east of Bathala Island. The shallow top of the thila reaches approximately 10 meters and features a fascinating array of coral formations including soft corals and table corals. A vibrant ecosystem thrives here, with red anemones and diverse nudibranchs making it their home. Regularly, nurse sharks can be observed resting beneath the small overhangs present on the thila. A notable feature is a beautiful terrace located on the northern point of the thila, supporting several species of schooling fish. Divers have the opportunity to complete a circuit around the entire thila and are likely to encounter white tip sharks and napoleon wrasse. It’s a rewarding dive for those seeking diverse marine life.
