This dive site, located on the western side of Racha Yai Island in Thailand, offers a unique experience for both novice and experienced divers. It’s easily accessible by boat—approximately an hour and a half from Chalong Bay—and divided into distinct north and south sections with similar characteristics. The location provides natural protection from prevailing easterly winds during the high season, making it a favorable environment for learning to dive. While not considered the most visually stunning dive site in the area, Bungalow Bay compensates with diverse marine life including Ornate Pipefish and Seagrass Ghost Pipefish, as well as an abundance of fascinating nudibranchs – some species found nowhere else nearby. This site is particularly appealing to those who enjoy exploring smaller creatures.
