This dive site, Playa Chica - Muellito, offers a pleasant introduction to underwater exploration. The entrance and exit are conveniently located via stairs, making access easy for divers of all levels. Shallow waters begin at 3 meters and extend up to 12 meters, creating an ideal environment for beginner courses and those who prefer calmer depths. The area is teeming with marine life – keep an eye out for spider crabs, parrotfish, flounders, cuttlefish, octopus, sponges, damselfish, and occasionally even a barracuda may be spotted in the shallows. Venturing slightly further out into the sandy bottom reveals garden eels, angle sharks, rays, and sea horses. A thorough search of all directions, including the surface, is highly recommended to fully appreciate the site's biodiversity. The dive area is generally considered safe for descending and ascending. While it shouldn’t be underestimated due to its popularity among photographers who enjoy lingering in these beautiful surroundings.
