This dive site is Pescador Island’s east side, a renowned spot near Moalboal, Cebu. Divers typically begin on a vibrant 5-meter plateau before exploring a breathtaking coral-covered slope that descends to a maximum recreational depth of 24 meters, though the wall continues much deeper to 65 meters. The dive concludes on another plateau teeming with life, offering varied topography for an engaging underwater experience.
The site is home to an impressive array of marine life. Encounter fascinating creatures such as scorpionfish, razorfish, and sweetlips. Larger pelagic species like potato groupers, snappers, tuna, and barracuda frequent the area. The shallow plateaus are particularly rich in macro life, providing excellent opportunities to spot nudibranchs and various shrimps.
Pescador Island is a year-round destination, but the best conditions are typically during the dry season (November to May). Its diverse features make it ideal for both divers and freedivers, with shallow areas perfect for snorkeling and deeper sections offering thrilling exploration. Always be mindful of potential variable currents around the island.
