This dive site presents the Kogyo Maru, a Japanese freighter that sank in 34 meters of water. The ship lies on its starboard side and offers a compelling wreck experience for experienced divers. Multiple swim-throughs lead into six holds, as well as through the engine room and bridge area. A notable feature is an incline of cement bags within the second hold, a poignant reminder of the ship's purpose – constructing a runway during wartime. A small bulldozer sits within this hold, seemingly frozen in time, suggesting the operation to build the runway. Divers can explore the complete but encrusted machinery, including a tractor with metal wheels and an air compressor perched above the cement bags. Careful navigation is required as exploring the holds may lead to areas of reduced visibility. The wreck's interior offers a unique glimpse into its past.
