This dive site, known as Dive Point Coral reef, is conveniently located a short swimming distance directly from the shore, in front of the Dive Point diving center. The dive typically begins in a coral rock area at a shallow depth of 5-6 meters, before gradually transitioning into a gentle drop-off that extends to and beyond the analyzed maximum depth of 19 meters. Navigation is straightforward, staying close to the reef structure which features fields of staghorn corals in its deeper parts.
The vibrant marine ecosystem at this site is home to a rich variety of life. Divers can commonly encounter graceful green and hawksbill turtles, along with diverse reef fish such as triggerfish, clownfish, damsels, dory snappers, and parrotfishes. During night dives, the site transforms, revealing fascinating nocturnal creatures like frogfish, various shrimps and crabs, and squids.
This site is suitable for all levels of divers due to its shallow entry and moderate maximum depth. It's particularly appealing for macro photographers at night, with the chance to spot frogfish and other small critters. The easy shore access makes it ideal for multiple dives. Freedivers will also appreciate the shallow coral gardens and the drop-off extending to 19 meters. While the exact best time to visit is not specified, diving in the Philippines is generally excellent outside of typhoon season.
