This dive site, located within Whitireia Park, offers a variety of diving experiences suitable for both beginners and more experienced divers. The bay provides easy access for newcomers, allowing them to explore the shallow reef area extending along both sides of the bay – depths range from 4 to 6 meters. This section is home to juvenile reef species like wrasse and triplefins. For those seeking a greater challenge, a hill can be climbed to enter through a point, swimming back around the bay. Alternatively, access is available via channels at the end of the road. Visibility is good in this area. The site also includes areas suitable for experienced divers who might encounter seahorses, octopus, nudibranchs, rays (including stingrays and eagle rays), all potentially found over the sandy seabed. The diving here is generally shallow with a mix of reef and sandy bottom environments.
