This dive site, Wissenkerke Oostnol, is accessed by walking from the parking lot to the far point of the breakwater. Divers enter the water here and swim out following the extension of the nol (a natural sandbank or shoal feature). The recommended dive path then involves turning right towards the north-northeast, gradually becoming shallower again as you return to exit at the point of the nol.
At depth, this site is notably overgrown with a diverse array of marine life typical of the Oosterschelde, including vibrant sponges, delicate carnations, and many other fascinating Oosterschelde species, suggesting a rich ecosystem perfect for macro observation.
It is highly recommended to dive Wissenkerke Oostnol at low tide for the best conditions, likely due to clearer water or more manageable currents. The highlight is the beautifully overgrown underwater landscape, offering excellent opportunities for divers to explore and appreciate the unique flora and fauna of the Oosterschelde estuary.
