This dive site, known as Paradise Reef, is located directly south of the Puerta Maya cruise ship terminal dock in Cozumel. It’s part of the Cozumel Reefs Natural Preserve and represents the northernmost reef within it. The reef consists of two parallel sections at varying depths; the deeper section descends to a maximum of 50 feet. Currents are generally mild, heading northbound but can shift unpredictably. This makes Paradise Reef an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced divers seeking a night dive experience in Cozumel. You'll likely encounter a diverse array of marine life including Splendid Toadfish, various angelfish species, white grunts, snappers, and a variety of other tropical fish alongside sponges and gorgonians.
