This dive site is located at 151 West Dover Branch Road, West Dover. Burns Point offers a relatively sheltered diving experience with a moderate hike to access the site. The best time to dive here is during high tide when entry is easier, though there are two possible entry points. The dive area features a substantial wall that’s easy to navigate and provides opportunities for exploration. The channel leading to the sheltering islands descends to 65 feet with a gravel bottom, while the shoreline drops dramatically into depths exceeding 30 feet. Expect boulder fields with interesting marine life scattered throughout. Allow approximately 80 minutes if you plan to explore around the island; its depth on the opposite side is around 15 feet. Marine life observed includes nudibranchs, cunners, lobster, gooseberrys, starfish, and jellyfish – seasonal variations are common. Certification Level: Open Water - Easy Dive, Challenging Entry/Exit.
