This dive site is the Shipwreck Pioner, an artificial reef located near Saint Ivan Island, close to Sozopol in Bulgaria. The vessel was a Bulgarian trawler fishing boat built in 1964 and deliberately sunk in July 2008 to create this underwater habitat. It measures approximately 22.5 meters in length and 5.5 meters in width. The wreck rests at a depth of 18 meters, making it suitable for divers with an Open Water Diver certification. Its shallow depth and sheltered location from north-easterly winds contribute to its popularity as a dive site.
