This dive site is a remarkable natural rocky reef location, just 40 minutes from the city center of Adelaide. It features both a vibrant reef and an adjacent jetty, offering a diverse underwater experience for divers of all skill levels. The area boasts an incredible level of marine biodiversity, with over 200 species of plants and animals, including more than 73 different types of fish. Expect to encounter common residents such as moonlighter, zebrafish, and common stingrays. For those interested in macro life, you’ll find a wealth of fascinating creatures like hermit crabs, nudibranchs, seahorses, flatworms, and pipefish. On favorable days, opportunities exist to spot blue devil fish, wobbegongs, cuttlefish, Port Jackson sharks, and occasionally even leafy sea dragons. Larger marine animals also visit the area – keep an eye out for passing dolphins and whales. The maximum depth of this dive site is approximately 18 meters (60 feet), showcasing Australia’s iconic marine life.
