This dive site, Aldens Cave, is located on the Eastern side of Flinders Reef. It’s a short, wide swim-through offering a unique diving experience. The coral formations in this area are notably more resilient than those found on the Western side due to increased exposure to weather and strong seas. Consequently, visibility tends to be excellent, and the reef presents dramatic geological features—characterized by numerous cracks, crevices, encrusting corals, and boulder-type corals. Divers can expect to observe fast-moving pelagic fish in the deeper blue Eastern sections, as well as smaller crustaceans, morays, and crayfish inhabiting the shallower areas within the reef structure.
