This dive site is an indoor aquatic simulator, affectionately known as “The Little Rock Drop Off”. Measuring 25 by 45 feet and 15 feet deep (approx. 8 meters), it provides a controlled environment with an inviting water temperature of 88 degrees Fahrenheit. The pool is designed for practical dive training, offering a simulated underwater experience perfect for mastering buoyancy control and practicing underwater photography on its vibrant mosaic-lined walls.
Since this is an artificial indoor simulator, there are no natural marine animals or plants. However, the pool is adorned with colorful mosaics depicting starfish, turtles, rays, and a coral reef, offering visual interest and subjects for underwater photography practice.
This site is suitable for visiting year-round due to its indoor, controlled nature. It is an excellent facility for beginner divers to gain confidence, certified divers to refine skills like buoyancy and navigation, and for underwater photographers to practice their craft in ideal conditions. Freedivers can also utilize the depth for breath-hold practice in a safe environment.
