This dive site, Siam Bay, is nestled on the western side of Ko Racha Yai, offering a tranquil and accessible diving experience. The bay's unique draw includes artificial structures like elephants, Thai palatial houses, and ethnic objects placed between 20-25m, creating an interesting underwater landscape for divers to explore and navigate around.
The marine life is vibrant and diverse, with extensive and spectacular coral beds serving as home to a variety of colorful damsels, butterflyfish, and snappers. Divers can also encounter large sturgeon eels, stonefish, and graceful sea turtles, alongside schools of Yellowfin Snappers and impressive large groupers.
Siam Bay is ideal for divers of all levels, especially beginners, due to its shallow depths and mild conditions. The site is excellent for both scuba divers and freedivers, offering great opportunities for macro and wide-angle photography. The best time to visit aligns with Phuket's main dive season, typically from November to May, when conditions are calm and visibility is optimal.
