This dive site is located on the east side of Koh Tao, specifically in Aow Leuk bay. It’s a wide, shallow area with a sandy bottom separating the coastlines. The bay features several artificial reef projects – impressive concrete sculptures that provide shelter and attract juvenile fish, including Malabar Groupers. You'll discover a diverse array of corals, including a Giant Clam nursery, and frequently observe Juvenile Black Tip Reef Sharks. Large Compact Coral heads dominate the landscape, offering habitat for Harlequin Sweetlips, Blue-Spotted Rays, and Squirrelfish. Smaller inhabitants like Bar-Tailed Goatfish, often accompanied by Red-Breasted Splendour Wrasse, are also commonly seen amongst the corals and in the sand. Aow Leuk is a sheltered bay making it ideal for snorkelers, introductory scuba dives, and underwater photography sessions. The area provides excellent visibility.
