This dive site, Planetas, is characterized by its captivating rocky underwater landscape. Divers typically begin their exploration in the southwest, where large rocks are scattered across the seabed, creating interesting formations. Continuing to the northeast, divers will encounter an impressive rock bar, which offers numerous hollows and crevices to explore, providing a rich environment for discovery. The site boasts typical Mediterranean marine life, with excellent opportunities to spot moray eels expertly hidden within rocky crevices and under ledges. The best time to visit Planetas, like much of the Mediterranean, is during the warmer months from late spring to early autumn (May to October) when water temperatures are comfortable and visibility is generally at its best. This site is suitable for divers of all levels due to its manageable maximum depth of 22 meters and interesting topography, which provides plenty to see without being overly challenging. Freedivers will also find the varied depths and intricate rocky structures appealing for breath-hold exploration and marine life observation.
