This dive site, Los Trogloditas, is located north of the port, accessible by boat after sailing parallel to the coast past Punta Na Mari. Divers descend onto a sandy area at 12 meters before navigating northeast towards a series of unique, staggered caves in the cliff face. The name 'Los Trogloditas' translates to 'The Cave Dwellers', reflecting the multi-layered cave system.
The site is home to various reef fish including groupers, breams, rainbow wrasses, damselfish, dungarees, combers, and two-banded seabreams. Inside the caves, the focus shifts to macro life, featuring sea slugs, delicate flower corals, and vibrant anemones, providing a contrast to the outside reef.
The best time to visit Los Trogloditas is generally during the warmer months when Mediterranean waters are calmest and visibility is at its best. Its shallow average depth and interesting cave formations make it ideal for both divers and freedivers seeking unique topography and macro photography opportunities. Ensure proper buoyancy control for cave exploration.
