This dive site is a magnificent, large thila (pinnacle) featuring a vibrant, shallow top reef. Known as Magu 2, it comes alive with exceptional marine activity when currents flow in from the west side of the atoll. While there is no specific historical account provided, the site's dynamic nature makes it a thrilling drift dive, requiring divers to be proficient in current management to fully appreciate its splendor.
The diverse marine ecosystem here boasts an impressive array of inhabitants, from very tiny reef fish to formidable predators. Divers can expect encounters with Grey reef sharks, White tip reef sharks, Nurse sharks, and the occasional Tiger shark. Eagle rays and various species of turtles are also frequent visitors, contributing to one of the best fish life combinations in the region.
The best time to visit this site is during the incoming current from the west, as this brings in nutrients and attracts the larger pelagics, ensuring a memorable dive experience.
