This dive site, Maabadhi Finolhu, is a popular sandbank tour originating from Dhiffushi island in the North Malé Atoll. It offers an exceptionally shallow reef experience, with a maximum depth of 3 meters and an average depth of just 1 meter, making it easily navigable and highly accessible for all water enthusiasts.
While some coral damage is noted in this part of the atoll, the reef compensates with an abundance of diverse fish life. Snorkelers and divers can expect to encounter vibrant angelfish, butterflyfish, surgeonfish, and various groupers, alongside hundreds of other colorful reef species typical of the Maldivian waters.
The site is suitable for visiting year-round, offering generally excellent visibility. Its extreme shallowness makes it an ideal destination for beginners, snorkelers, and freedivers looking to explore a thriving fish population in a calm, accessible environment without significant currents.
