This dive site, Wakatobi Resort’s house reef, is a world-class destination renowned for its pristine coral gardens and abundant marine life. It features a shallow reef flat covered with seagrass, gradually transitioning into a stunning reef drop-off. Navigation is straightforward, typically following the reef edge along the resort.

Divers and snorkelers will encounter a vibrant array of marine animals, including angelfish, graceful sea turtles, impressive Maori wrasse, charming anemonefish, and curious sea snakes. The reef teems with approximately 200 easy-to-spot colorful reef fish species, all thriving amidst healthy corals and seagrass beds.

The best time to visit Wakatobi is generally during the dry season (April to December) for optimal weather and calm seas, though diving is excellent year-round. This site is a highlight for both snorkelers and divers of all levels, offering incredible biodiversity. Freedivers will particularly enjoy the varied depths from shallow flats to the 15-meter drop-off.
