This dive site is located at Yolanda Reef within Ras Mohammed, considered one of the world’s premier diving locations. The reef boasts a remarkable history, stemming from the wreck of the ship Yolanda, which crashed in the 1980s and now lies on its side at a depth of 180 meters. Fragments of the vessel, along with cargo like toilets, bathtubs, and sinks, remain visible. These remnants are heavily encrusted with coral, providing a unique habitat for a diverse array of marine life. The reef features a shallow plateau extending from the surface to approximately 20 meters, characterized by small pinnacles covered in colorful soft corals. A gentle wall descends from the surface, creating an exciting dive experience. Expect to encounter Blue Spotted Stingrays, Scorpionfish, Stonefish, and Giant Morays within the area. The resident Napoleon Wrasse adds to the reef’s vibrant ecosystem.
