This dive site, aptly named Disneyworld due to the appearance of two large coral heads resembling a famous mouse from the surface, is located west of a permanent mooring line in the sandy seabed. Divers will descend to the bottom of the mooring to find a hardpan leading towards the shore, and a mini-wall running parallel to the coastline. The site offers relatively easy navigation with distinct topographical features.
The massive coral heads are teeming with vibrant coral species and a wide array of reef fish, creating a lively underwater ecosystem. Look for stingrays gracefully gliding or hiding in the sandy patches, adding to the charm of this popular site.
The Cayman Islands generally offer excellent diving year-round, making any time a good time to visit Disneyworld. Divers should always check the current conditions before entering the water, as they can be variable. Its relatively shallow average depth makes it ideal for prolonged bottom times, and it is highly suitable for both snorkelers and freedivers who wish to explore the beautiful coral formations and marine life close to the surface.
