Ilha Gravatas offers an excellent diving experience in Búzios, located 40 minutes by boat from Armação dos Búzios (RJ). This site provides a diverse underwater environment with opportunities to explore small caves and observe fascinating marine life. You might encounter large green sea turtles and manta rays feeding, along with abundant schools of fish and various species of stingrays, including the devil ray, spotted eagle ray, and giant barreling ray. The 'Buraco das Almas' (Soul Hole) is a particularly interesting spot—a funnel-shaped rock formation accessible by advanced divers comfortable with buoyancy control, typically descending to approximately 18 meters without a surface interval before exploring nearby coral walls. These walls are covered in extensive carpets of coral and ‘sol e baba de boi’ (sun and cow’s milk).
