This dive site is characterized by a unique underwater feature: ‘Shark Gutters’ – channels or gutters running out from the shore. These gutters extend to depths of 10 to 18 meters. The location has a mooring point at 12 meters. Historically, this area was known for its substantial population of grey nurse sharks, and sightings still occur regularly, particularly during the winter months, with occasional occurrences throughout the year. The gutters themselves present an interesting swim-through experience, featuring a boulder wedged between the sides. The seabed is rich in marine life, including anemones, clownfish, Blue Grouper, Flute Mouth fish, various wrasses, and bushes of black coral. A diverse array of fish species are frequently observed here, such as schooling Kingfish, Silver Trevally, Jewfish, Pomfreys, Bullseyes, and Tarwhine. The site offers a visually stunning environment with abundant underwater biodiversity.
