Camp cove a protected, shallow bay offering one of Sydney's easiest shore entries. It is famous for its calm conditions and rich macro life, particularly octopuses, cuttlefishes, frogfishes and nudibranchs found in the seagrass and along a small rock wall.
It's very well protected from south wind, so when other areas are choppy from the south wind, go here.
When people say camp cove dive site, it's the dive site on the right hand side of the beach when you are facing the ocean. There are lots of rocks and critters hidden under the rocks like cuttlefishes. It's also a well known training site thanks to the easy entry.
You can also dive on the left hand side of the camp cove bay. Underwater there is a "chain of nothing" to guide you out.
