Lake Hydra, formerly known as Dutch Springs, is a premier spring-fed lake and flooded quarry located north of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley. Divers can explore multiple training platforms at depths of 10 feet, 15 feet, and 25 feet. The lake features a remarkable collection of submerged attractions, including a Challenger airplane, a fire truck, sunken boats, a crane, a trolley car, a school bus, a 6x6 vehicle, a Cessna aircraft, and numerous other items from the quarry’s past. Old pumping stations and towers also provide additional exploration opportunities. Visibility within the lake is excellent, creating an immersive environment for underwater discovery and making it a rewarding destination for gaining confidence and exploring the underwater world.
