This dive site is the Jim Atria, a fascinating recreational-depth wreck located off Fort Lauderdale. The vessel was originally found resting on her port side at approximately 110 feet of water. Following Hurricane Andrew, a surge righted the ship and moved it offshore to its current location at 135 feet of depth. The wreck is heavily encrusted with gorgonians and orange cup coral, creating a visually striking environment for divers. The Jim Atria represents one of the larger intact wrecks available in this area. It’s a rewarding dive offering a glimpse into maritime history.
