This dive site features the Dyviksvraket, a fishing boat affectionately known as a 'Donald Duck' wreck, resting at approximately 13 meters depth. Divers can easily access the site by following the jetty to a small boathouse, then walking in from the shore under the jetty near the house. The wreck is located just a few meters ahead, sloping downwards, offering straightforward navigation for divers.
Beneath the surface, divers can encounter common local marine life such as perch, shrimps, and clams dwelling among the wreck's planks. Beyond the wreck, the area transitions into a typical coastal dive environment, providing opportunities to observe various other local fish species and aquatic vegetation common to the Stockholm archipelago.
The best time to visit this site is typically during the warmer months from late spring to early autumn when water temperatures are more comfortable and conditions are generally calmer. It's an excellent site for beginners due to its shallow depth and easy access, and also suitable for freedivers looking to explore a wreck. Divers should be prepared for cold water, which is characteristic of diving in Sweden, even in summer.
