Plataforma Mariana

This dive site is located a short boat trip from Ibiza, within the Ibiza and Formentera Marine Reserve. The area features an intriguing underwater structure resembling an abandoned fish factory or even a spaceship, providing a unique exploration experience. La Plataforma offers a mesmerizing encounter with hundreds of schooling barracuda – a truly unforgettable sight for photographers and videographers. Divers can also expect to discover amberjacks, groupers, conger eels, moray eels, scorpionfish, and various crustaceans inhabiting the area. The water temperature ranges from 14°C to 28°C (57°F to 82°F), making it a comfortable diving destination throughout much of the year. A certification level suitable for advanced or deep diving is required; most dives begin at approximately 33 meters (108 feet) and gradually ascend. Visibility averages 30 meters (98 feet), however, enriched air divers are recommended to maximize their time exploring this remarkable location safely.
