This dive site, Fraile Island, offers a unique diving experience with three distinct immersion areas. The island’s strategic orientation provides favorable conditions for diving in various weather scenarios – calm on one side while the opposite faces prevailing winds and waves. The east face features the CREST immersion, descending from approximately 5 meters to a maximum depth of 30 meters. This area begins with Posidonia meadows but transitions into a rocky seabed teeming with invertebrates and frequented by barracudas and large dentex fish. The south face offers the SOUTH WALL immersion, suitable for divers of varying experience levels, though it’s generally recommended for those with some prior experience. Divers can observe the slope dropping to 30 meters here, an area known for pelagic fish activity. Overall, Fraile Island provides a diverse underwater environment.
