About this dive site

This dive site, Coves de l'Estany, offers a very calm and accessible experience, directly from the Port de l’Estany harbour. Divers can navigate a partially collapsed tunnel system, passing in line, which makes it an excellent location for dive courses focusing on reduced visibility or perfecting buoyancy control. The maximum depth is 9 meters with an average of 4 meters.

The rocky bottom and unique tunnel environments host organisms adapted to less sunlight. Divers can expect to find various species of sponges, brittle stars, and typical Mediterranean reef fish thriving in these sheltered conditions.

The best time to visit is generally from late spring to early autumn for optimal conditions. This site is highly recommended for beginners and those looking to refine their diving skills. Both snorkelers and freedivers will also find the shallow depths and interesting topography appealing.
