About this dive site

This dive site is an artificial reef, cleverly constructed with a variety of concrete sculptures including cubes, tubes, and pyramids. These structures are not just visually interesting; they serve as a thriving habitat for marine life, making underwater navigation straightforward. As one of five sites comprising the Artificial Reef, it represents an intentional effort to create and enhance marine ecosystems. The stark contrast between the intricate sculptures and the surrounding sandy bottom adds to the visual appeal of the site.

Divers can expect to encounter a diverse range of marine species here. The sculptures provide shelter and hunting grounds for numerous animals, most notably rays, trumpet fish, and moray eels that are frequently seen weaving through the structures. Larger pelagic species are also common, with large groups of snappers and impressive barracudas often congregating around the reef.

The Canary Islands generally offer excellent diving conditions year-round, making this a dive site that can be enjoyed in most seasons. Its moderate depth and rich marine life make it a prime location for underwater photography, particularly for wide-angle shots showcasing the unique landscape and schooling fish. The maximum depth of 20 meters and average depth of 10 meters also render it highly suitable for freedivers.
