This dive site is located at the entrance of Jeddah Creek in Saudi Arabia, offering easy access from the shore at La Plage Resort. The reef is well-maintained and features a variety of coral formations typical of the Red Sea. Navigation is straightforward, with relatively calm waters and gentle slopes making it suitable for divers of all experience levels. There is no known specific history of the site beyond its role as a popular dive and snorkeling spot.
The underwater landscape teems with life. Divers can expect to encounter a variety of reef fish, including groupers, clownfish, and boxfish. Larger pelagic visitors like manta rays and blue spotted rays are also possible sightings. The reef itself is vibrant with different types of Red Sea corals.
The best time to visit is during the warmer months (spring and autumn) when water temperatures are most pleasant and visibility is generally high. Strong currents are uncommon at this site; it's great for both scuba and freediving. Good buoyancy control is recommended, especially when approaching smaller marine life, to avoid damaging the reef. Remember to practice responsible diving etiquette.
