This dive site features two captivating wrecks, the Lesleen M and Vicky B, resting in Anse Cochon bay. The Lesleen M, an old cargo ship, was intentionally sunk in 1986 to create an artificial reef, while the Vicky B, a fishing boat, followed suit in 2018 and lies a short distance away. These wrecks provide an excellent navigational experience for divers exploring the vibrant artificial reef system they have fostered.
The artificial reefs formed by both wrecks are teeming with a diverse array of marine life. Numerous species of hard and soft corals have colonized the structures, attracting a variety of reef fish such as snapper, grunt, angelfish, and parrotfish. Macro enthusiasts can also spot smaller creatures like nudibranchs, crabs, and shrimp hiding within the wreck crevices.
Considered an easy dive, Lesleen M and Vicky B are ideal for novice divers and offer excellent conditions year-round, with the dry season (December to May) typically offering the best visibility. Freedivers will find the average depth of 10 meters and maximum depth of 21 meters perfectly suited for exploration. Divers should plan to explore both wrecks and the surrounding coral growth to fully appreciate this unique underwater habitat.
