About this dive site

This dive site, Sugar Beach, is nestled at the base of the iconic Petit Piton on the southwest coast of Saint Lucia. It features a diverse underwater environment within a designated Marine Reserve, including sandy areas and rocky shores. Its extremely shallow maximum depth of 4 meters makes it easily accessible and navigable for all, particularly snorkelers and beginner divers.

The reserve is teeming with vibrant marine life. Divers and snorkelers can expect to encounter a wide array of species, including colorful butterflyfish, elusive moray eels, uniquely shaped boxfish, camouflaged filefish, and majestic angelfish, among dozens of other reef inhabitants.

Sugar Beach is an excellent year-round destination, though the dry season (December to May) typically offers the calmest seas and best visibility. Its shallow, clear waters make it perfect for both snorkeling and casual freediving. Divers seeking a relaxed, easy dive with abundant small reef life will find this site highly rewarding.
