About this dive site

This dive site, Yapak 2, is considered the crown jewel among Boracay's diving destinations, catering to divers seeking an adrenaline rush. The dive typically begins with a descent through choppy surface waters, quickly dropping into the blue until divers reach the top of a magnificent wall at approximately 32 meters. This wall then plunges dramatically further, reaching depths of up to 65 meters, offering a thrilling experience for those comfortable with deeper profiles.

Marine life at Yapak 2 is abundant and vibrant, especially during a flood tide. Divers can expect to encounter large pelagic species such as tunas, alongside impressive schools of redtooth triggerfish, snappers, and sweetlips. The site is also known for the occasional presence of patrolling whitetip reef sharks. The wall itself is adorned with healthy, open soft corals, contributing to the site's dynamic underwater landscape.

For the best experience, it is highly recommended to dive Yapak 2 during a flood tide, as this brings in nutrient-rich waters, attracting a plethora of feeding fish and ensuring the soft corals are fully extended. This site is specifically tailored for advanced divers due to its strong currents, deep profile, and challenging conditions. While recreational diving is limited to 34 meters, the sheer drop of the wall offers a sense of immense scale, making it a truly memorable dive.
