Vinkeveen Zandeiland 4

This dive site, located in the Vinkeveense Plassen near Island 4 or Zandeiland 4, is a highly regarded destination within the Netherlands. The area is specifically designated as a protected zone for water activities, ensuring pristine conditions and a tranquil diving experience. It’s renowned for its exceptional clarity of water and the diverse underwater environment it offers. Island 4 is considered one of the best spots in the country for observing fish life; you might encounter pike, bass, or schools of whitefish. A particularly notable feature is the submerged bus, a well-known landmark that adds to the site’s allure. Access to Island 4 requires a permit, however, this comes with the benefit of enjoying excellent diving conditions and beautiful surroundings. There are ten islands in the Vinkeveense Plassen; Islands 4, 5 and 1 are accessible by road.
