This dive site, known as De Val, is located in the Netherlands near the Zeeland bridge. Access requires a walk from the restaurant parking lot to the entry point. Divers are advised to enter the water on the left side of the light pole and navigate parallel to the shore, heading towards the Zeeland bridge to explore the beautiful overgrown pier.
The dive site is teeming with small marine life, including various species of gobies, industrious hermit crabs, quick shrimps, colorful butterfish, and elusive crabs. These creatures find refuge and sustenance hiding among the beautifully overgrown blocks and structures of the pier.
The shallow areas are considered the most scenic part of the dive, offering excellent opportunities for macro photography and close observation of marine critters. While specific best times are not provided, temperate water diving is generally best in warmer months. It is suitable for both snorkeling and freediving due to its accessible shallow depths.
